Parma coach Roberto Donadoni admits it felt strange for the Gialloblu to finally return to playing football following their precarious financial situation.
The financially stricken club dominated for periods against Atalanta but were unable to register a goal during their 0-0 stalemate in a match that took time for the tactician to adjust to.
“It seemed strange to return to play, but we always work hard when we take to the field,” Donadoni commented to Sky Sport Italia.
“It is a difficult situation, but we must learn to live with it.
“Today we played because we were convinced that the words of (Carlo) Tavecchio will have a positive result.
“The guys are not robots, we can not forget what has happened so far.
“The team tried to win, maybe we deserved more, but to return to play is a good start. Now we will see what will happen this week. ”
