Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic is due to miss out on Fiorentina’s UEFA Europa League clash against Roma on Thursday night.
Fiorentina take on fellow Serie A club Roma in the Europa League Round of 16 first leg, but will have to do so without their Montenegrin centre-back.
Fiorentina communicated on Savic’s absence, who sees himself sidelined following clinical tests and a diagnostic needing to be done on a persistent pain in his left thigh.
The club’s official statement added that early tests exclude the possibility of a serious muscular injury however; it is simply the case of a nerve compression, which aggravated discomforts Savic suffered in previous games.
Savic made 25 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals for Fiorentina this season.
