Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic is in talks with his club over a new contract, says his agent.
The 30-year-old Slovenian has been strongly tipped to leave the Nerazzurri as his current deal expires next season.
Negotiations have been ongoing for much of the season over a new deal for the talented shot-stopper.
With Roma and Premier League’s Liverpool monitoring his progress, the Nerazzurri are under increased pressure to resolve the situation.
However the player’s agent Federico Pastorello says that negotiations have begun with Inter and that suggestions of a deal with Roma are wrong.
“We are in talks with Inter regarding a contract extension. With regards to Roma, it’s not true that I have spoken to [Roma sporting director Walter] Sabatini,” said Pastorello to Tuttosport.
Former Udinese golvesman joined Inter in 2012 and has appeared in 27 Serie A games for the Italian club this season.
