Borussia Dortmund may be set to cut their losses on Ciro Immobile by selling him back to Serie A at the end of the campaign – with Lazio showing the keenest interest.

The Biancocelesti would be a slightly surprising move for Immobile were he to return with Torino and Roma the clubs closest linked with a move for the forward.

However, with Miroslav Klose yet to decide on his future, Lazio are readying themselves should he decide to leave the club this summer and are closely considering an offer for Immobile, according to LaLazioSiamoNoi.

Immobile, who was Serie A’s top scorer with 22 goals last season, signed a five-year deal with the Bundesliga side last season but has started just nine league games all season.

Despite his lack of playing time, he still has a decent scoring pedigree having managed three league goals and a further four in the Champions League.

However, he is believed to be concerned that failure to nail down a regular position could cost him a place in Antonio Conte’s Italy squad for the European Championships next year and would consider moving back to Serie A.
