The agent of Rijeka star Ivan Mocinic has confirmed that Inter and Sampdoria are two of the clubs chasing his client’s services.
The 21-year-old Croatian youth international is regarded as one of his country’s brightest young talents, and has enjoyed another brilliant campaign in the Prva HNL this season.
Luigi Paoletti, Mocinic’s agent, spoke to RadioSei regarding the player’s possible future and comparisons with Juventus star Andrea Pirlo.
“A young Pirlo? I say this with all due respect to the Juventus playmaker, but I think he will be the future Pirlo. He has all the characteristics to become great,” Paoletti said.
“Lazio interest? I haven’t heard anything from them in recent months. I know that there have been observers from Inter and Sampdoria recently who have expressed an interest in the player.
“I can say with certainty however, that no representatives from Lazio have contacted me. I think Mocinic would do well there though.
“[Mocinic] has a €2.5 million release clause, this is true. If the boys finishes the campaign well, an auction could erupt in the summer.”
