Inter fullback Jonathan admits he is contemplating a move back to Brazilian outfit Cruzeiro at the end of the season when his contract expires.
The 29-year-old Brazilian was a revelation for the Nerazzurri last season, but a knee injury has ruined his current campaign with the fullback only making two appearances thus far.
With the operation for his knee injury keeping him out for the rest of the season and no new contract incoming, Jonathan admits he is open to exploring new avenues for the future.
“For me, this is a very delicate situation. The toughest time since I joined Inter because of this knee injury,” Jonathan told Globo Esporte.
“I could return in May, but my season is practically over and my contract expires in June.
“My desire to return to Cruzeiro is strong. I still have many friends there, but it is not a move that just depends on me.
“I still follow Cruzeiro and support them, because that is the team that launched my career.”
