After achieving a place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League following Thursday’s 0-0 draw with Dinamo Moscow, Napoli midfielder Jorginho gave credit to his side’s complete performance.
The Azzurri became the first team to advance from the round of 16 of the competition by finishing with a 3-1 aggregate score, much to the credit of Gonzalo Higuain’s hat-trick in the first leg at the Stadio San Paolo.
“Tonight the whole team did well,” said Jorginho following the match.
“We entered the field focussed on gaining qualification.”
The 23-year-old also shared the need to continue the positive run of form as the Partenopei are still in the chase for a top three spot in Serie A along with Coppa Italia and Europa League glory.
“We are competitng on three fronts,” he added.
“By the season’s end, we expect more and more intense games and the whole squad will be key.”
