Lazio attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson has earned a call up to Brazil’s Olympic team for the country’s upcoming friendlies in late March.

The Selecao Under-23 side will be facing the Paraguay U-23 team on March 27 and the Mexico U-23 side on March 29 and it seems like coach Alexandre Gallo has grown fond of the young Biancocelesti talent’s performances this season as he’s now locked down a position in the tactician’s 23-man squad for the next two games.

The 21-year-old has already appeared for Brazil’s youth national teams in the past, securing call ups to the Under-17, Under-20 and Under-21 sides in recent years, though his current form has now allowed him to move up a class and has put him one step closer to landing a spot in the country’s senior team.

Felipe Anderson, who joined Lazio from Santos in 2013, has scored a total of six goals and has provided eight assists in his 32 Serie A appearances since his arrival, netting all six of those goals and providing six of the assists in his 19 league appearances this term thus far.
