Napoli’s David Lopez has admitted that the Partenopei have a tendency to drop too many points in games due to a level of complacency.
Although Napoli had just confirmed their position in the quarter-finals of the Europa League after securing a goalless draw at Dinamo Moscow to secure a 3-1 aggregate win, Lopez discussed Napoli’s Serie A form.
“We always strive to give the absolute maximum,” Lopez told Mediaset after the final whistle.
“But we are only human and we cannot always be at 100%.
“I took a heavy challenge in the second half, but all is well.
“Today we showed that we are a strong side and that we always want others to respect us.
“I do not know [what we are lacking in the league], we have dropped too many points in games we thought would be easy.
“We have to do better and show more intensity. It always helps to have a winning mentality.”
