Louis Van Gaal is poised make Juventus’ star midfielder Paul Pogba his number one target in the summer and is prepared to offer around €80 million to bring the Frenchman back to Old Trafford.

The talented midfielder who left United in 2012 on a free transfer after he wanted to feature in the first team revealed his love for his former side as recently as January.

United boss Van Gaal is keen to add steel to his midfield with Pogba seen as the perfect fit for his system, and according to The Telegraph the Dutchman has been handed a war chest upwards of €200 million, regardless of whether they qualify for the Champions League or not.

Despite the importance of the 22-year-old to the Bianconeri, it would be hard for the club to refuse a mammoth offer for the talented France international who was previously linked last summer with a return to the English Premier League, and this season he has managed nine goals in his 30 appearances for Juventus.
