Inter coach Roberto Mancini has confessed that he misses the Premier League.

Mancini spent three and a half years at Manchester City before being sacked, but the Italian admits that the club still has a special place in his heart.

“I do miss the Premier League,” Mancini said in an interview with CNN.

“I had an amazing time in Manchester, we won the league after years without doing so and that brought me a lot of pleasure.

“The fans were amazing to me and will always be in my heart.

“It was a period of my live that I will not be able to forget and that will stay will me forever.”

Mancini then went onto to talk about the current situation at Manchester City under manager Manuel Pellegrini.

“I think Pellegrini was really lucky because he got this team that is a strong team and he has a chance to put in more good players.

“For me Manchester City are the best team in England and it is a shame that they are in second place.

“Although they are six points behind Chelsea they can still win the league.

“Anything is possible in England, I won the league with the last kick of the season.”
