Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has revealed that he’s having a great season with the Old Lady and admitted that he’s been working hard to secure a key role in the Spain squad.

The 22-year-old has scored seven goals and provided four assists in his 22 Serie A appearances this term thus far, which has seen him earn a place in his country’s line up for their upcoming matches against Ukraine and the Netherlands, and he hopes he can now use this opportunity to prove himself to coach Vicente del Bosque.

Morata spoke during a recent press conference about how his season has been going at Juventus and touched on his hopes of finding space in the Spain team, while also commenting on the injury of fellow La Roja striker Diego Costa.

“I’m have a great experience at Juventus, this season is going very well,” said the former Real Madrid youngster.

“I’ve had to work very hard to earn a place in the national team, there are so many phenomenal attackers here.

“Diego Costa’s injury? It’s a shame that he’s injured, his presence brings a lot of value to the national team.”
