Sampdoria defender Ezequiel Munoz has revealed that he hopes to remain at Sampdoria for as long as possible despite rumours claiming otherwise.

The 24-year-old, who is currently on loan at the Blucerchiati from Palermo until the end of the season, has been linked with a possible summer move to AC Milan, though he insists that he’s working on securing a permanent deal with La Samp instead.

Munoz spoke to TuttoMercatoWeb.com about his current situation at Sampdoria and commented on his plans to help the club as much as possible during his time there.

“Will I join AC Milan? No way. I have to recover from my injury so I can make more of a contribution,” said the Argentine.

“I’m fine at Sampdoria, I won’t deny that I would like to stay here. There is a united group here at Sampdoria, my future here will be discussed soon but not now.

“The goodbye to Palermo? We are still yet to find an agreement that can satisfy all parties involved.”
