Napoli are close to agreeing a €6 million deal to sign Empoli’s Mirko Valdifiori, who has been linked with the likes of AC Milan over the past few months.
The 28-year-old has been in impressive form for an Empoli side that has lost just seven of their Serie A games this season and earned his first international cap against England on Tuesday evening and his agent previously admitted that he could excel at a big club like Milan.
Napoli are set to reach a €6 million agreement with Empoli when they have a final meeting around Easter, which will see the midfielder sign a four-year deal worth around €800,000 per season according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Valdifiori has spent the majority of his career with Empoli and has made in excess of 200 appearances for the Azzurri.
