Crisis-hit Parma owe almost €200 million to various creditors, and are currently unable to illuminate their stadium.

The last few weeks have seen the Gialloblu fail to complete fixtures against Udinese and Genoa, and the side’s myriad of problems are mounting.

The Gazzetta Di Parma examined the extent of the debt, which stands at around €200m. The local newspaper went on to explain that half of that figure is payable imminently, with figures of €48 million owed to banks, €38 million to suppliers and €18 million owed to the tax authorities.

The Gazzetta Dello Sport revealed that one of the meters that powers the lighting at the Stadio Ennio Tardini has been disconnected, meaning that the club would be unable to play home games.

Current mayor of Parma, Federico Pizzarotti, is trying to install a new stadium management company that would allow power to be restored.
