After a dominating 3-0 win away against Sassuolo, Lazio coach Stefano Pioli feels his side played well and deserved the away win.
Felipe Anderson, Miroslav Klose and Marco Parolo were all able to get on the score sheet as the Biancazzurri easily took home the three points, inching closer to a Champions League place on the table.
“I think we played well. It was a deserved victory,” said Pioli to Sky Sport Italia.
“Playing three midfielders behind a lone striker? There is certainly a risk, but it is the quality and the spirit of the players that made the difference. The midfield three gives us strength. Our attitude is making a difference and we always prepare for the best.
“The work done in the week before Sunday gives me great satisfaction. The team has to do well and we always must improve.
“It was an important victory. To raise our quality we need to win these tricky games.
“Fiorentina and Napoli are the only teams to win here in Sassuolo. It is not easy to win on this field.”
