Roma have announced that youth team coach Alberto De Rossi has signed a contract extension until the end of the 2017/18 season.
De Rossi has been in charge of the Giallorossi’s Primavera side since 2007 and looks set to extend his stay at the helm beyond ten years.
Under De Rossi’s leadership, the youth team has enjoyed success in the Campionato Primavera in 2011 and the Coppa Italia Primavera in 2012, whilst former youth team players such as Alessandro Florenzi and Daniele Verde have been promoted to the first team.
With a rich history of young starlets coming through the Primavera and into the first team, Roma will be hoping that De Rossi can maintain this tradition and build on the success he has already achieved.
The 57 year old De Rossi is the father of Roma’s vice-captain and central midfielder, Daniele.
