Parma midfielder Cristian Rodriguez has officially parted company with the club, signing for Brazilian outfit Gremio.
The 29-year-old Uruguayan joined the Gialloblu during the January transfer window on loan from Atletico Madrid, with the former Porto player reportedly unaware of the financial crisis at the club.
Gremio announced on their official website that the player has terminated his loan with Parma and is set to arrive in Porto Alegre on Tuesday to sign for the Brazilian giants.
Rodriguez’s spell at the Ducali has come to an end after just five Serie A appearances for Parma.
The former Porto man is not the first person to terminate his contract with the Crociati following the financial crisis, with Antonio Cassano and Felipe also cancelling their contracts.
