Roma directors are working overtime to try and draw up a new contract for striker Adem Ljajic, the club’s current top scorer.

Under coach Rudi Garcia, the 23-year-old has hit eight goals during the current campaign and has featured more times than any other attacker at the club.

The Serbian has a €25 million buy-out clause on his current deal and reports in Leggo are claiming that this figure is not enough to deter teams such as Liverpool and Manchester City, who are keeping tabs on the player.

It goes on to say that director Walter Sabatini is now preparing a new offer for Ljajic, that will either raise the sum needed to trigger the clause of take it out completely.

Ljajic joined Roma in 2013 from Fiorentina, having spent three years at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. He has now made over 50 appearances for his current side, scoring 14 goals.
