Sampdoria have signed Niklas Moisander from Ajax on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old centre-back will move when his current deal in the Netherlands expires on June 30 2015.
Sampdoria confirmed the move on the club’s official website and announced that Moisander will move to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on a three-year contract.
“We wish Niklas the best of luck for the rest of the season with Ajax and with Finland, we’ll see you soon in Genoa, ready and energised for this exciting adventure with the most beautiful kit in the world,” concluded Samp’s statement.
Moisander has made 23 appearances so far for Ajax during the 2014-15 Eredivisie season.
The defender was voted Finnish footballer of the year in 2012 and 2013 and also previously represented AZ Alkmaar and PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands and Turun Palloseura in his native country.
