Sensitive Roma fans have launched an online attack on Sky Sport Italia commentator and director Fabio Caressa, after the TV personality likened the Giallorossi to walking zombies.
After having introduced a news piece focused on the Roma forwards during an intense training session on Sky Sport 24, the program cut to a scene from popular Amercian series ‘The Walking Dead’, with mindless half-dead corpses clumsily meandering from side to side.
A joke and nothing more, but supporters of the Stadio Olimpico outfit did not take kindly to the tongue-in-cheek insult and immediately sent the satellite broadcasters a barrage of complaints, some proclaiming they would no longer renew their Sky subscriptions.
According to Il Messaggero, Caressa has apologised to the club and is expected to so once again ahead of their match this evening at home to Sampdoria.
