The agent of Wolfsburg star Ricardo Rodriguez has ruled out a summer move to the Serie A for his client.
The 22-year-old Swiss international has established himself as one of the most impressive left-backs in Europe in recent seasons, which has attracted the interest of a number of elite European clubs.
Gianluca Di Domenico, Rodriguez’s agent, spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport and told the newspaper that Italian clubs wouldn’t be able to afford the highly-rated fullback.
“Ricardo to the Serie A? I don’t believe an operation is feasible at this time as Wolfsburg values him at €30 million,” Di Domenico said.
“He recently renewed with the club, and has a release clause that exceeds this figure.
“I can confirm that [Manchester] United asked for information, but Wolfsburg refused to sell him. There was never anything official with Real Madrid.
“Juventus? There wasn’t any contact, maybe someone made it up when [Kwadwo] Asamoah got injured. I could see Ricardo doing well at the Bianconeri.”
