Former AC Milan full-back Gianluca Zambrotta expressed his support towards Filippo Inzaghi and believes that the 41-year-old tactician should be given time to prove his worth and qualities.

The 38-year-old is currently at helm of second division Swiss side Chiasso and commented on the situation Milan is currently in, as well as the coach and his former teammate Pippo Inzaghi. Zambrotta had previously expressed his preference of Inzaghi when Clarence Seedorf was appointed head coach.

“Inzaghi needs to be given time. All coaches need time to work in peace,” he told Milannews.it at the headquarters of the Lega Serie A.

“If Milan is missing the senators? I do not think this is the problem. Milan knew that an important cycle had come to an end and that it takes time to start a new one. It takes time and patience.”
