Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has branded striker Paulo Dybala the Messi of the future.

The 21-year-old Argentine forward has been has been in electric form this season for Palermo with 12 goals and seven assists in Serie A.

With Manchester United, Arsenal and Juventus rumored to be interested, club president Zamparini has mentioned the player in same breath as Barcelona’s legendary Argentine striker Lionel Messi.

“We want to get the math right, then we’ll see where we can go,” said Zamparini on Radio Anch’io Sport.

“Dybala was spoiled by some messages, but his agent is only doing hsis job, and I have a good relationship with him.

“For me, Dybala is the Messi of the future, his valuation is at least €40 million, but let’s see what happens.”

Apparently Zamparini is keen to grab as much value as he can for the Argentine and has insisted that the funds from the sale will be reinvested into the team.

“The amount that we sell the Argentinian for will obviously be reinvested. [Coach Giuseppe] Iachini will remain as long as we have a project, even with Dybala going, major players will arrive.

“Iachini assures me I can buy footballers on a budget suited to our current economic climate.”
