AC Milan has unveiled further details of their proposed new stadium in the form of a 3D simulation of the new 48,000 arena to be based in the Portello area of the city.

Rossoneri  director Barbara Berlusconi has made no secret of her preference to leave the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, which they have shared with city rivals Inter since the 1940’s, in time for the 2018-19 season.

However, despite a potential €325m outlay to complete the project, the images shown by Gazzetta dello Sport appear to indicate that Milan intend to push forward with their plans.

Sitting 10th in the Serie A table, some 30 points behind leaders Juventus, club officals will hope that the stadium will help bridge the financial and sporting gap between them clubs currently fighting for Champions League qualification.
