Inter and Aston Villa have both been linked with a summer move for Fiorentina defender Micah Richards.

Richards’ contract with his parent club Manchester City and his current loan with the Viola expire in the summer, allowing him to find a new club on a free transfer as the Tuscan side aren’t expected to make the move permanent.

According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are in pole position to sign the 26-year-old and he is reportedly keen on a return to the English Premier League.

However, Inter are also thought to be interested in the England international and a move to the Nerazzurri would see Richards reunited with a former coach at City in Roberto Mancini.

West Ham United have also been linked with the defender after they were pipped to his transfer last summer by Fiorentina when they had a loan deal of their own in place.

Stoke City, Southampton and Everton are three other English sides who are reportedly interested in Richards.

Richards has made six Serie A starts for Fiorentina during the 2014-15 season.
