Rumours have resurfaced that Atletico Madrid are set to move for Napoli forward Jose Callejon.
The 28-year-old former Real Madrid player has increasingly linked with a return to his native Spain with Diego Simeone’s side leading the chase, however no move has been made for the Partenopei star.
According to Cadena Cope, Callejon would be happy to move to the Rojiblancos but the clubs are nowhere near close to agreeing terms for Callejon. It is also reported that Rafa Benitez’s side will not accept anything below €20 million for the Spain international.
Callejon enjoyed a stellar first season playing in Italy, scoring 20 goals in all competitions but has failed to live up to the high standards he set this season, and has just ten goals to his name, failing to score in ten Europa League appearances.
