Ahead of the Serie A clash between Cesena and Hellas Verona on Saturday, Gialloblu assistant coach Roberto Bordin has stressed the importance of claiming all three points to avoid the relegation battle.

Verona will play host to the bottom dwelling Cavalucci Marini, who are level on 21 points with Cagliari and sit in 19th place, while the home side are tied with 32 points alongside rivals Chievo in 15th place.

“The match against Domenico Di Carlo’s Cesena will be the most important match for us,” said Bordin to the press.

“We want to try to make some progress in the standings and to make a good performance. In the race tomorrow we will be focused and determined.”

Bordin continued with thoughts on options in midfield as Panagiotis Tachtsidis returns from injury.

“We have many midfielders and Tachtsidis has had a contusion from which he recovered very well,” he said. “We are fully booked, in midfield there is the opportunity to make choices

We know that Cesena that wants to score points, but we have the [Stadio] Bentegodi to help us score our own points.”
