Cesena boss Domenico Di Carlo has revealed that his team is working hard with hopes of securing a victory over Hellas Verona on Saturday as they fight to remain in the Serie A.

The Seahorses currently sit in 19th place on the league table with 21 points, leaving them five points away from temporary safety, and the tactician believes that his side have a shot at earning a victory against the Gialloblu at the Stadio Bentegodi as long as they give their full effort on the pitch.

Di Carlo spoke during his pre-match press conference on Friday about what he hopes to see from his men in their battle with Hellas Verona and also commented on the availability of several Cesena players.

“We know that we have to focus on the opponent that is in front of us, we must give the best effort possible,” said the 51-year-old.

“I don’t have any big doubts, plus the recovery of Franco Brienza is important for us. Right now the group is full of hope and you can feel everyone’s involvement.

“We will enter the pitch with a certain desire to be daring. After our recent victory over Lazio, you can see more determination from everyone in the team.

“Hellas Verona are an experienced team and they will be difficult to deal with. It will be a very tactical game.

“Milan Duric? He’s fine, he has come back from international duty with tons of energy and motivation.

“Luka Krajnc is improving with every workout, he’s getting better and becoming much more stable.

“We want the three points against Hellas Verona in order to feed our dream of remaining in the Serie A for another season.”
