Fiorentina captain Manuel Pasqual will reportedly sign a contract extension with the Gigliati in the coming days.
The 33-year-old, whose current deal with the Viola is set to expire at the end of the 2014-15 season, had previously been linked with a possible move away from the Stadio Franchi outfit due to the lack of negotiations regarding his future in Florence, though it seems like he may be remaining in Vincenzo Montella’s squad next season.
According to La Nazione, the Italian international could sign a new contract with Fiorentina at some point during the upcoming weekend before their match with Napoli on April 12.
Reports also suggest that a clause in the defender’s current deal, which obligates him to make at least 20 league appearances this term, could be ignored in order to keep him in Florence.
Pasqual has scored two goals and provided two assists in his 15 Serie A appearances this term thus far.
