AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has confirmed that current coach Filippo Inzaghi will remain at the club beyond this season.

There have been rumours suggesting that Inzaghi’s time at the club could be coming to end due to Milan’s disappointing season but Galliani has dismissed these reports.

“Inzaghi has a contract with us through next season and he will remain in his position,” Galliani told MilanNews.it.

“I am convinced that we will do well until the end of the season and that there will be no change of coach.

“I think that Milan fans should be forever grateful to president [Silvio] Berlusconi for the success he has brought to the club, notably the five European Cups and eight league titles.

“We are seven points away from European qualification which is a lot but we will keep on believing until it is mathematically impossible.
