Hellas Verona forward Nico Lopez was hurt in a car crash on his way to training on Sunday, but is not seriously injured.

Coach Andrea Mandorlini cancelled the team’s rest day after they surrendered a three goal lead at home to Cesena on Saturday, and the incident involving Lopez occurred on the way to this session.

Tuttosport reports that the 21-year-old was in an incident involving three cars and has suffered severe contusion, with the other drivers unhurt.

It is unclear at the moment how long, if at all, the Uruguayan’s injuries will keep him out of action.

Lopez, who is on loan from Udinese, has scored five goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for Verona this season.
