Inter midfielder Hernanes could be set for a move back to his homeland in the summer, after failing to fully convince boss Roberto Mancini.
The 29-year-old Brazilian international has failed to deliver since his big money-move from Lazio last January, and despite showing recent signs of returning back to his former self, Mancini is yet to be fully convinced of the player’s ability.
According to Il Giornale, Hernanes could seek a return back to Brazil after five years in Europe, with the player’s stock still very high in his homeland.
Former club Sao Paulo are said to be interested in their former star, but a number of Brazilian clubs would enter the race if the player announces his intention to return home.
Hernanes has made 26 appearances, many off the bench, for Inter this season, netting only two goals.
