Under-fire AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi wants his players to end the season in the best manner possible and play with dignity following their latest 3-1 defeat to Genoa.
The Rossoneri fell to a crushing defeat against Genoa on Wednesday night, leaving Inzaghi’s men in 10th place and the rookie coach calling them to end the season on as high a note as possible.
“We must move forward and finish the season with dignity,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.
“We are trying to change things at a tactical level to find new solutions.
“The boys didn’t play well but they gave everything, the problem is what they give is not enough.
“We came across a team in great shape that deserved to win, congratulations to Genoa.”
The 41-year-old also touched upon his future in charge of the Rossoneri.
“The club will reflect [on my performance] and take the best decision,” Inzaghi said.
“We will know tomorrow; whatever happens, AC Milan will remain in my heart.”
