Serie A champions Juventus are eyeing a move for Espanyol’s Hector Moreno, but will have to face tough competition from Premier League clubs.

The 27-year-old Mexican international has collected 20 appearances across all competitions for the Barcelona-based club, despite suffering a tibia fracture in June in the second round of the World Cup against the Netherlands.

According to Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Juventus are among clubs showing interest in Moreno, with English Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur looking to secure the services of the player as well.

Moreno is a regular starter for the Mexican national team and has made 56 appearances since his debut against Guatemala in October 2007, netting one goal for his country.

Juventus currently sit top of the Serie A table, 14 points clear of second-placed Roma, and look to set to win a fourth consecutive Scudetto.
