Juventus have initiated contact with Zenit Saint Petersburg over the transfer of Belgian star Axel Witsel.
The 26-year-old Belgian international has enjoyed another stellar season with the Russian giants since making a €40 million move there from Benfica in 2012.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus have already started seeking possible replacements if Paul Pogba leaves in a big money move in the summer.
The Bianconeri have already started preliminary negotiations with Zenit, who are reportedly asking for around €25 million for one of their biggest assets.
Chelsea midfielder Ramires is said to be another target for the Old Lady, but the hierarchy are said to favour a move for the Belgian instead.
Witsel has netted five goals in 31 appearances for Zenit this season.
