Leeds United will look to Serie A in a bid to strengthen their squad over the summer, with Juventus’ Simone Pepe amongst a number of players sounded out.

The Championship club are owned by former Cagliari president Massimo Cellino and have identified Mounir El Hamdoui of Fiorentina and Parma midfielder McDonald Mariga, as well as Atalanta’s Urby Emanuelson.

According to Unione Sarda, Cellino will also look to raid his former club for their stalwart right back Francesco Pisano. All five targets are out of contract at the end of the season and none look likely to renew at this stage.

With El Hamdoui falling out of favour under Vincenzo Montella and Mariga’s Parma in financial crisis, Leeds feel that they would be able to lure some of their targets to Elland Road.

Leeds are no strangers to Italian football, having signed Marco Silvestri, Mirco Antennuci and Giuseppe Bellusci amongst others from Serie A and B this season.
