Andrej Kramaric RijekaLeicester City snatched the signing of ex-Rijeka striker Andrej Kramaric from under the noses of Juventus in January, it has been revealed.

The 23-year-old Croatian international had built a reputation of a prolific goalscorer in his homeland, attracting the interest of several elite European sides, but surprisingly opted to join the Foxes instead.

Sky Sport Italia report that Juventus was about to close the signing of Kramaric for about €6 million with Rijeka, but were beaten to the punch by Leicester.

The relegation-threatened English outfit offered €9 million, and the Croatian club chose to accept their offer instead leaving the Bianconeri empty-handed.

Kramaric has struggled to adapt to the Premier League however, scoring just two goals in his 10 appearances so far.
