Christian Maggio spoke after Napoli’s 4-1 away win against Wolfsburg and praised his team’s performance in their quarter final Europa league first leg.
Napoli dominated Wolfsburg, with Gonzalo Higuain, Marek Hamsik, and Manolo Gabbiadini scoring on the night.
Maggio was pleased with the result, but remained cautious whilst calling for more consistency in the coming return leg just and in Serie A.
“We played a great game,” Maggio said to Sky Sport Italia.
“We have taken another step in this tournament, but there is still the return leg to play.
“Now we have to continue on this trajectory, and even in Serie A this weekend against Cagliari.”
Napoli have been in great form in the Europa League, but have struggled a bit more in Serie A with last weekend’s win over Fiorentina having snapped a three-match winless run.
