Inter coach Roberto Mancini was unhappy that his side failed to close out the game during their narrow Serie A victory over Udinese.

An angry Mancini felt his players switched off after taking the lead twice and didn’t do enough to hammer home their numerical advantage against opposition who were down to nine men for over half-an-hour.

“After the goal, and the double sending-off, some of our players started to mess around,” said Mancini in an interview with Sky Sport Italia following the final whistle.

“I really do not understand – sometimes these guys just don’t think.

“They should use their brain and the double numerical superiority, but some players were treating it like a summer work-out.”

Lukas Podolski may have ended his goal drought for the Nerazzurri with a stunning winning goal in Udine, but there appears no chance of a permanent switch from Arsenal.

“He arrived in January on loan and in the summer he’ll return to London,” confirmed Mancini.

“He scored ??an important goal today. He’s a dedicated professional and I am happy for him.”
