Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is set to communicate to club president Massimo Ferrero his intention of leaving the Stadio Luigi Ferraris at the end of the season on Tuesday, with Napoli being the Serbian’s most likely next destination.

The 46-year-old tactician has been the Blucerchiati coach since taking over the squad after Delio Rossi in November 2013 and has since then achieved impressive results with the Genoa-based club, but now looks set to leave, with his contract running out in June 2015.

According to Sportmediaset, Mihaljovic has come to a final decision regarding his future and has no intention of renewing his contract, which he plans to communicate directly to club president Massimo Ferrero on Tuesday.

Mihajlovic had been previously heavily linked with a move to AC Milan, but now it seems that the former Serbia and Fiorentina coach looks set to replace Rafael Benitez at Napoli.
