Pablo Osvaldo could be set for a shock move back to the Italian peninsula this summer with AC Milan interested in the Southampton owned strikers services.

The 29-year-old, former Fiorentina, Roma, Juventus and Inter striker is currently on loan with Boca Juniors after his time with the Nerazzurri was cut short after an onfield disagreement with teammate Mauro Icardi.

According to Sport Mediaset, Osvaldo has already sent the first messages of appreciation back to Milan, a signal that the player is open to a move back to Italy.

Milan currently only have Giampaolo Pazzini as a fully owned member of the squad for the central attacking position with their other options being, recent loanee Mattia Destro and Jeremy Menez.

Osvaldo’s Boca loan spell has yielded three goals in six appearances so far.
