Juventus winger Simone Pepe has refused to rule out the possibility of winning the Champions League for the first time since 1996 this season.
The Bianconeri travel to Monaco with a 1-0 lead from the first leg of their quarter final tie, with Pepe insisting that it is important he and his teammates remain level-headed as they look to secure a first semi final appearance since 2002-03.
“Can we win the Champions League? Where there’s a will, there’s a way! Like us, it’s only right that the fans think big and dream of success. But it’s vital that we take every game as it comes,” the 31-year-old told JTV.
“When you have a united group, there’s no harm in dreaming and if we’re able to get past Monaco and make it to the semi-finals, anything is possible.
“This has been the most intense campaign I’ve ever played in, it’s vital we remain level-headed. My personal aims for the season are the same as the squad’s — to carry on winning.”
