Ivan Piris spoke after the 1-1 away draw against Genoa on Saturday afternoon, stressing that Udinese are eager to officially seal their Serie A survival.
Cyril Thereau snatched a point for Udinese, canceling out Sebastian De Maio’s opening first half goal.
Piris expressed his satisfaction at getting a point away from home, but emphasized that Udinese are anxious to secure arithmetic safety.
“It was a tough game but we managed to take a point back with us,” Piris said to Udinese Channel.
“We are finding good consistency [in recent games] but we want to achieve arithmetic survival as soon as possible.
“Once we do, we will see what happens in the rest of the league, but [for now] we are motivated to do well in every game we play.”
Udinese are on 34 points and currently 13th in Serie A.
