West Ham United are interested in signing Sampdoria’s in-form Spanish midfielder Pedro Obiang.
Obiang has been in good form for the Blucerchiati this season and his performances have seen him linked to a move away from Samp at the end of the current campaign.
According to Gazzetta TV, Obiang’s agent explained this afternoon that the player’s focus is currently only on Sampdoria, but West Ham are said to be preparing an €8.5 million bid for the player.
His coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is also purportedly keen on taking Obiang with him to Napoli, should the Serb go to Naples in the summer to replace Rafael Benitez.
Is is rumoured however that, were he to leave his current club, Obiang would prefer a move to the Premier League.
