van ginkel marco milanOn loan AC Milan midfielder Marco van Ginkel’s future at the club is uncertain as his loan spell at the Rossoneri concludes soon.

The Dutchman was loaned to Milan at the start of the season and has since become a first team regular.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the possibility of an extension is still open as long as the 22-year-old is guaranteed more games than he would get at Chelsea.

The midfielder was offloaded by the London-based outfit at the start of the season due to the Premier League’s home grown policy.

The player’s agent, Karl Jansen, has said previously that a permanent move to Milan could be possible.

The Dutch international, who netted his first goal for the Rossoneri on Saturday, is just one of several players with an uncertain future at the club as new management and ownership looms.

The playing future of many players is likely to be determined by a new coach at the end of the season with Unai Emery and Carlo Ancelotti the favourites to replace Filippo Inzaghi.

Van Ginkel has made 15 appearances for Milan this season despite two separate injuries in September and December.
