Bayern Munich goalkeeper Jose Reina could be on his way back to Serie A with Napoli having failed to establish himself in Germany.
Former Liverpool shot-stopper Reina has featured only twice in Bundesliga action for Bayern due to an inability to dislodge undisputed number one Manuel Neuer between the sticks.
According to Rai Sport, the Spaniard has become increasingly frustrated at his Allianz Arena bit-part role and would welcome a return to Naples, where he spent the entire 2013-14 campaign as first choice throughout a season-long loan spell.
The reports prompted a rush of Twitter messages from adoring fans who would apparently like to have the 32-year-old back at the Stadio San Paolo, following a series of strong displays during 30 league appearances made in his previous stint at the club.
