Borussia Dortmund are leading the chase for Genoa’s tenacious midfielder Tomas Rincon.
The 27-year-old Venezuelan international captain has established himself as a key member of the Grifone’s outstanding season so far, after arriving in the summer from Hamburg on a free transfer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Dortmund and Schalke are both interested in bringing the midfielder back to the Bundesliga in the summer.
The report also suggests that Rincon is keen on a return to Germany if the opportunity arises, and the Grifone may allow him to leave provided a good enough arrives.
Genoa have already pinpointed a substitute for Rincon, with the club ready to target impressive Brescia playmaker Ahmad Benali to replace him.
Rincon has made 27 appearances for Genoa this term.
