Cristiano Biraghi has said Chievo set out exactly as they had prepared after their 0-0 draw against Inter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The Flying Donkeys had already ensured that they would be starting next season as a Serie A club and have built on that by denting Inter’s hopes of finishing in a Europa League spot.

“We are happy because it is a key point in a difficult place,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia.

“Inter were coming off a good run, but we managed to do what we had prepared for.

“We have reached the target we set earlier in the season, but we do not want to stop there because losing is never positive.

The defender almost scored with a bullet shot in the second half, but it rattled the crossbar with Samir Handanovic in goal well beaten.

“I was unlucky but maybe next time it will go differently for me.”
