Domenico Di Carlo CesenaCesena coach Domencio Di Carlo says his side made a few to many errors in their 3-2 defeat away to Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo on Monday night.

Two goals from Dries Mertens and a Manolo Gabbiadini second half strike gave the home side the victory with two Gregoire Defrel goals having leveled the game for the Cavallucci Marini at the break.

“We came here looking to win and to show our qualities,” Di Carlo told Sky Sport Italia after the game.

“But we seem to get punished for every mistake we make and for us to score two goals away from home and not get anything from the game is very disappointing.

“We didn’t deserve to lose tonight and even though we are already relegated we will continue to fight in the remaining games.

“We failed to win the matches against the teams around us which has cost us dearly, but I can’t fault the players, they done everything I asked of them.”
